The mobile adaptation of the acclaimed 2008 art game, The Graveyard, offers a unique exploration of themes surrounding mortality and memory.

This title boasts commendable recognition, having been selected for the Independent Games Festival and Indiecade, as well as being nominated for the European Innovative Games Award.

Created by Auriea Harvey and Michaël Samyn, The Graveyard presents a brief, contemplative experience where players embody an elderly woman visiting a cemetery. The gameplay involves walking through the graveyard, sitting on a bench, and listening to an evocative song. Rather than a traditional gaming experience, it resembles an interactive piece of art — an experiment in real-time poetry that conveys narrative through atmosphere rather than explicit dialogue.

Purchasing the full version of The Graveyard introduces a singular additional element: the potential for death. While gameplay remains fundamentally unchanged from the trial version, each session carries the possibility of the character's demise, adding a layer of existential gravity to the experience.

The game features music by Gerry De Mol, performed in Flemish with English subtitles, along with animations crafted by Laura Raines Smith and sound effects by Kris Force. Developed by Tale of Tales, an independent studio known for its innovative titles such as Vanitas for smartphones and Luxuria Superbia for tablets, as well as The Endless Forest, The Path, Fatale, Bientôt l'été, and Sunset for desktop platforms.
